revision and review

Revisions on SHAMAN RISES are taking a ridiculously long time, because I have to keep looking up details–names, aura colors, locations–in other books. I have only had to resort to Twitter twice, although it might in general be faster to ask Teh Intarwebs instead of searching my own manuscripts. :)

I also finished watching the first season Downton Abbey last night. I think…that I will probably not continue on. The final episode left me disgusted with the two older sisters, I loathed the Lady Grantham/O’Brien story, and generally don’t think I like enough characters in the show well enough to bother watching to see what happens to them. I can read their fates in a plot summary a great deal more quickly than I could watch it.

The costumes, though, were *magnificent*. swoon

I have, from time to time, resorted to reading wikipedia summaries rather than watching/reading something, for the sake of cultural Literacy.

Having just read the summaries, I think I'm okay with not watching the other seasons. I'll miss the clothes, though!

Revisions. Oy. I am getting ready to write the second book in my Baba Yaga series and I can't even remember half the names of the people from the first one. (Which I only finished last December, for goddess's sake.) Luckily (coff) I will soon have revisions to do on that one, and it ought to refresh my memory nicely.

I watched the first episode of Downton Abbey and said, "Well, that's interesting," and never went back.

I have as yet not started the whole Downton Abbey trek. Too busy trying to catch up with a thousand other shows to start a new one. Maybe when the days are longer (as in 36 hours a day) I might manage it..
