compulsive hair disorder

The other day–several days ago now, on a brief shining moment of sunlight which has not been seen again, sigh–I got a look at the amount of white on my scalp. I actually have an *excellent* natural Rogue streak going on. Unfortunately, it’s the stripe of hair that falls down over my ears, rather than being at the front or even at the temples, classic Rogue style. I muttered something about this on FB–I don’t mind the white, but couldn’t it at least come in at the front, too, so I could just dye the rest of it brown and leave the white for a natural stripe?–and my friend Chrisber, amused, said, “It’s one of the great conflicts: Man vs. Nature, Catie vs. Her Hair…” :)

Anyway, with EasterCon coming up next weekend, I figured this was a good time to redo the Rogue stripe. I can’t find powder bleach here that’s nearly as effective as the stuff I can buy in America, so I’m now sporting quite goldy-colored roots. Still, every time I redo this and have the abrupt contrast from one color to the other, it makes me happy again. And perhaps some platinuming blonde stuff now that it’s been pre-lightened will finish off the color more accurately. :)

You know you can get hairdresser's to dye to go actually white rather than just the blonde from bleach... My hairdresser showed it to me one time I was talking about going white for a change...

Hairdressers are reluctant to damage hair that badly if a substantial amount of your hair is not already coming in white. :)
