Kitsnaps: Prowling

Just in case you were under the impression you might not be lunch.

This one I think is really more of a high-quality snapshot than a Kitsnap, which I like to imagine have, like, Artistic Merit, but not everything has to be top shelf, right? Right.

I have to figure out some way to reduce the size of the images landing on LJ, since 800px on a side is, well, too big. I mean, this all looks utterly fabulous on mizkit.com itself, but most of you, I believe, are reading it on LJ. (mizkit.com readers can feel free to correct me if in fact there are five thousand of you or something. :)) I mean, I suppose I could reduce them to 600px on the long side, which is less obtrusive, but WANT TO SHOW OFF. Or something. I must think about this more. It would be less too big if the wrap was working, but it’s not (must poke at that some more too) but still, basically too big. *frets*

As a LJ reader, I didn't mind the width of this photo. It needed all of it's width. IT's an amazing photo and I do feel like I might be on the menu.

It's just that those cats are so BIG.

As above -I don't mind the size of the image I rather like it and yes, I mostly see them here on LJ

I'm reading via LJ but really, I mostly use the mobile app so I don't notice. :)

I don't particularly mind the width either, there is a setting on LJ that you can make it so pictures above a certain size don't auto load on your friends feed. Also as an option is a special gallery web site and posting a link to that instead.

These are fine on LJ for me.

I don't know, I find artistry in that shot. It's a wondeful palette of colors and I like the feeling of motion of the cat caught mid-stride and slightly off-center as if he might just continue walking into the null space to the right.

As for the width on LJ, it's fine on my work computer, but could be too wide if I was viewing it at home on my laptop.

I usually figure 800Xwhatever is a fairly sane resolution to post things on lj...it's what I usually post my art at.

There's something so intimidating about a tiger. I think it's the way they are one of the few things that still thinks of humans as common prey. Them and polar bears, really, and polar bears would rather have a nice fat seal than a bony human, while Sundarbans tigers think of us as part of a regular diet.

And I'd rather have the full resolution -- they are pretty pics and I have a big screen.

Gorgeous!

I have an itty bitty computer, and I don't mind the size.
