*laughs* Possibly the most-fun in a totally silly way thing about Twitter is that one occasionally communicates with people one has no expectation of ever communicating with. To wit: an actor I follow (the guy after whom Morrison was accidentally both named and described, actually) said “thanks for all the birthday wishes”, hence alerting me to it being his birthday. Being a clever wit, I said “Oh hey happy birthday!” to him, and he said “oh hey thank you!” back.

This is completely meaningless in the grand scheme of things, of course, but it pleases me. :)

The really bizarre thing is the realization that I am sometimes the Famous Person (TM) in that equation. :)

Of course I had to Google this name and description sake of Morrison and all I can think now is "Man, Joanne has good taste". ;)

(Also, this picture on Morrison's site: http://www.jpmorrison.com/img/showup2m2.jpg. I had to check multiple times because, honestly, it looks like it says Captain on the door, which just seemed timely and awesome.)

*laughs* It made me do a double-take too. :) And yes, she does, doesn't she? Rawr.

I was positively giddy when Veronica Belmont read one of my twitter comments 'on air' during the last Vaginal Fantasy Hangout they did. Even if she pronounced my name wrong and the younger generation doesn't understand that slashes indicate emphasis. :)

I've had a number of exchanges with Lawrence Block on Twitter and every time I sit to think about it, I get dizzy. :) Same thing happened with TV awesome guy Bill Lawrence a couple of years back... I was completely uncool and giggly about it. I mean... he's the creator of Scrubs.

It's possible not everyone puts Scrubs in the same pedestal I do. Never mind.

Some amusing twists on this phenomenon: the "holy crap X spoke to you!" tweets (I got a couple after Warren Ellis responded to me) and the "holy crap you know X!" which, ahem, you cause, from time to time. :)

(The local SCA people periodically go googly that Jen and I know Jim Butcher, but that's not really a Twitter thing... I may have dropped his name. Accidentally!)

Yes this. The first time you responded to one of my comments there was rather a lot of fangirly squee and immediate calling of The Mom to blather excitedly. The cycle of fangirling is alive and well. :D
