The Hunger Games

Have burned through the trilogy in the past 2 days. Thought CATCHING FIRE was by far the strongest, but thought MOCKINGJAY ended the whole story appropriately. Heartstabbily, but appropriately. If I get my…self…together I’ll write a more through commentary in the next few days, but my goodness, it’s been a long time since I’ve read 3 books in 2 days. (How sad is that?)

The remainder of the week will be spent focusing hard on NO DOMINION revisions. (Honest, that’s why I read two books today. I was going to put off MOCKINGJAY until I was done with revisions, but I got done reading CATCHING FIRE and said “Yeah, right, who am I kidding,” and read the last book so it would be OUT OF THE WAY.

That’s my story & I’m sticking to it. :))

Does Canada have a dry coast as well? I live and learn.

Meanwhile you burn through books reading or writing them faster than the average fan. Makes me feel all behind except - my garden is all cut back - almost all. Tomorrow it will all be cut back. Then one room to make the house somewhere friends could stay and then another to be somewhere the in laws could be allowed and lo - the end is in sight.

Makes me want to throw a party...What has this got to do with Hunger Games? Nothing. I rabbit on regardless.

The west coast of Vancouver Island is considered to be temperate rainforest. Hence the wet coast of Canada tag line. Average annual precipitation ranges from 6,650 millimetres (261.8 in) at Henderson Lake on the west coast (making it the wettest place in North America) to only 640 millimetres (25.2 in) at the driest recording station in the provincial capital of Victoria on the southeast coast's Saanich Peninsula. I fortunately live near the driest part of the island.

I love the internet. I learn something new every day. I got to be in a rainforest - And it rained, hard, all day. It was interesting.
