lost week

I lose weeks frequently. Typically it comes in the form of being absolutely certain I have another week in the month. This month, however, I’ve been absolutely certain that next Monday is the last day, and I’ve been really sort of freaked out trying to figure out how I was going to get copy edits, a short story, and another 15K done on my book by Monday. Well, the answer was obviously that I *wasn’t*, but anyway, freaking out.

So when I realized last night that in fact there is an entire *week* left as of Monday, it was something of a huge relief. I still have too much to do, but (irritatingly) the 15K is the part that I can let slide the most because it’s not *due* at the end of the month, so I can manage to get what *needs* to be done, done.

But *man*. Gah. Blik!

for me, time is flying so fast that i can't track it. in my mind i can hear my Granny quipping "time flies" in her scratchy voice. [i used to roll my eyes and do a silent snort when she said this.]

ha! now i'm in my 40's i can't keep my mind wrapped around how fast the days go. don't worry about losing a week, i've started losing months. *snicker*

i've also started saying "time flies" all the time. i've skipped my mother, and turned into Granny! ;)
