I made it to Baby Cinema yesterday. The movie, a Woodie Allen film called “Whatever Works” was actually pretty enjoyable in the end, which is not really what I expect from Woodie Allen films. More importantly, however, Young Indiana was a delight, and indeed, the show was far less disrupted than one might have expected with 30+ babies there. They left the house lights up, so one could see to change diapers and to pace when necessary, and yeah. It was great. I didn’t meet anybody (I did try to strike up a couple conversations, but it didn’t work), but I did figure out that one needs to arrive early enough to stand in line for coffee and talk to people. Had the bus not been very very late I probably would’ve arrived that early, but anyway. Success! I will go again next time, with any luck! Yay!

I never managed to get to any, if there were any in the county, when Arthur was still a Buglet. There's a theatre near me that does these now that I don't need them, of course.

I hope you see many Baby Cinema films. When *I* had the TV on while I was working in the kitchen, or trying to watch a show, there were many SF series on, and the sprat has taken to SF like nobody's business.

What a great idea! I've never heard of a baby matinee.

Years ago my God-daughter, her mom and I went to see the Full Monty. Baby had already seen a number of movies because she was such a premie she could cry all she wanted and the only person who could hear her was the one holding her.

That week, Baby was getting stronger and she could actually get her wail on. I was convinced someone was going to complain, but we made it through the whole movie.

When the lights came up, we discovered we were in a theatre filled with women and they all stopped to.say hi to Baby on the way out.

An enjoyable Woody Allen movie? I thought he stopped doing those when he finished "Everything you ever wanted to know about Sex..."? ;)

Oh, how I wish there were something like that around here.
