this keeps happening

My plans for the afternoon:
- make bread
- change kitty litter
- clean bathtub
- start organizing office

My actual accomplishments for the afternoon:
- napped with baby

This keeps happening.

For your entertainment, I present Young Indiana and the Discovery of His Toes.

Hey. What’re those?
Hey. What're those?

I better take a closer look.
I better take a closer look.

No, closer than that.

Okay, I’m starting to get the picture…

I understand that happens a lot with babies. They emit sleepy baby rays. Kinda how like cats emit sleepy kitty rays.

Young Indiana & his toes? Adorableness. Love your sister cheering him on in the "GOT 'EM!" shot. :D

Okay, that's just too adorable!

And what I wouldn't give to be able to fold myself flat like that....

We call it Sleepy Baby Vibes ... somewhat related to being Baby Dazzled.

My son still loves to chew on his toes...

That's awesome.. Aunts get to have the most fun. :) When I was a baby though, one of my aunts was a stinker and put socks on my hands. You should see my look of confusion! I have never abused my nieces and nephews so... I swear! :)

Gotta love babies.

That's hilarious.

Hee! I love it when babies do that and get all HOLY CRAP! I HAVE FEET!

You are supposed to nap with the baby, mama! That's the secret of getting any sleep at all with a new baby around!
kitmizkit on July 11th, 2010 08:01 pm (UTC)
Yeah. I don't mind the napping, it's just that I'm accustomed to making a plan for the day and accomplishing large chunks of it. Obviously I need to downgrade my plans. *tries to wrap tiny little brain around that idea*

LOL, they are only little for a short time, so that makes it a bit more bearable and precious all at once.
kitmizkit on July 11th, 2010 08:13 pm (UTC)
Actually, between my husband and myself we got it all done except making the bread, so it's all okay. Or something. :)

No, just insert nap with baby on every other line.

We have noticed that the small dogs we have emit sleepyons.

The hardest thing for me to do at 40 was handle the loss of my usual patterns, my control over my day. Wish the OB/GYN had TOLD me before I had to ask/experience that. She said it was hardest among older moms like me.

LOL! That is great! My little one (who's only a day older than yours) hasn't found her feet yet, but one of the baby babbles she makes now sounds an awful lot like she's saying, "Hi!" Totally shocked my stepmom. :-P

You got to sleep? Lucky you...
Childlightchildlight on July 12th, 2010 01:23 pm (UTC)
When it comes to life with babies sleep any chance you get.
