four weeks and counting

Yesterday was Young Indiana’s fourth week-iversary. He celebrated by peeing in his own ear. (I still can’t think or type that without breaking down into giggles. :)) Afterward, he got a bath, and then modeled his new bathrobe:

I’ve been experimenting with homemade breakfast bars, since a snack I can eat with one hand is very useful. This one is pretty good, and I’ve just made this one, except I haven’t tasted it yet and I modified the recipe, so if it turns out to be any good I’ll, er, let you know what I did differently. :) I’ve got two more I’m going to try, too.

Boy. I had a ton of things I meant to blog about, but I’m having a hard time remembering any of them. Oh, I’m guest blogging over at Suvudu, where this week they’re doing a Faerie Week, and where you can potentially win an ARC of TRUTHSEEKER. Go forth, participate!

I am still impressed by my oldest nephews Baby Trifecta, where he simulatiously pee'd, shit, and puked on my sister (who was trying to change his diaper), and then, her husband who thought it was funny, had the same thing done to him. This was 38 years ago.

*chortle* wondrous are the powers of baby bodily fluids!

Love the photos! Everyone looks wonderful!

Yay, baby! :)

BTW, I'm late to the party to note I love the nickname 'Young Indiana'. It makes me snicker every time. :)

I think it's a good blog-use nickname. :) *hugs*!!!

Picture new-ish born baby boy on a changing table. Picture admiring family and friends gathered around to make *goo-goo* noises at how cute he is. Picture the sudden explosion outwards of the ring of people as said baby boy's penis does a fire hose impression, soaking several people and the ceiling. I learned very quickly to drop a fold of nappy or a handful of tissues in a strategic spot whilst changing him from then on.

Oh baby boys and their pee pee. I can't tell you how many times I have gotten peed on. The worse is since I had a c-section my lower tummy is still pretty numb so there were times I didn't even know it until I saw the wet spot on my shirt. lol.

Heehee, at least one experience not shared due to baby girl! Still a cutie, and I think he's grown already!

According to my mum - you'd be surprised what baby girls can do!

I have no experience of it that I can remember at least..

Buglet managed never to do that for us. He did hose his father once or twice, though.
My main problem was he wanted to make changing diapers more fun, and I was just tired and wanted it over, most of the time. His first 4 syllable word was Cooperate. Can't think why...

I had a baby boy I was babysitting manage to pee on top of my head while laying down on the changing table... but the ear... impressive.

Your kid's cute! It's official!

You realize of course that if you persist in calling him Young Indiana, there will have to be fedora-related pictures at some point?

We're thinking Halloween. :)

Well, I'll just go ahead and cue up the AWWWWW in advance. ;)

He is completely adorable, my dear.

I love the peeeer in the last photo.

Quick breakfast variations on breakfast bars: if you like porridge, it will often keep for a few days and it reheats easily. I fortify mine (usually quinoa porridge) with various things like yogurt, nuts, dried fruit, etc. Frittata's another good breakfasty food, as it can even be eaten cold, reheats well, and keeps for a few days or can be frozen.

I have oatmeal every day, pretty much! What I'm really after is a 3am snack which sticks to the ribs a little and doesn't require any thought at, well, 3am. :)

Wholewheat PB&J sandwiches made ahead of time? In a plastic baggie the bread will stay nice & soft.

Does he have a license to be so cute? *has uncontrollable urge to squee over Baby Indiana*
