Evidently I’m solar-powered. I did another 5300 words today, bringing the book up to 81K. I think it may come in a little short, but if I can get it somewhere between 95-100K I’ll be happy. The rest can be dealt with in revisions.

We are on day 10 of no sweets. I would do rash things for some ice cream. I said as much to Ted, who promptly volunteered to go get some, so he seems to be feeling the same way. But we remained strong, and now the store’s closed, so we’re safe for the evening.

It’s taken me 40 minutes to write this much blog, so I think that’s probably all I’ve got to say for the moment. :)

We're doing the South Beach again, which for two weeks is basically "lean protien, non-fat dairy, lots of veggies, no starches/sugars/fruits". I've found that, although there's a day or two about 1/3 of the way into the 2 weeks that I get really bad cravings for sugar/sweets/bread, before and after that I am pretty okay. I think it's because I can eat a /lot/ of veggies/protein and the utter lack of starches/sugars helps flatten out my blood sugar so I'm not spiking/dropping and getting the associated cravings.

And, after the first two weeks, you start adding in the whole grains and fruits again, bit by bit, until you're eventually at a good solid well-rounded diet with minimal/no white-"death" (white flour/white sugar, etc). (Death - their words, not mine. I loves the tasty tasty deathcake.)

Good luck with your no sweets! I'm rooting for you!

You are the queen!

I did 1779 words in 30 minutes.

And then staggered away, and still don't know what I'm writing next. I think I sprained my brain.

Again, you are the queen!
