it hurts so what?

Lithera sent me a True Blood t-shirt that says “It hurts so good” on the chest. But in a mirror, which is the only place I ever notice the text, “good” becomes “bood”. Then my brain transposes the “d” to another “b”, though it doesn’t try to read the rest of the words because they don’t reflect into almost-words. So I essentially think the t-shirt says “It hurts so boob.” And I wear it anyway. :)

Also, the box the t-shirt (and other things) arrived in is the Best Box Ever. The cats have been sleeping in, on, and around it for two months. One could argue this is due to the box’s location beside a radiator, except they were just as eager to sleep in it when the heat wasn’t on. Best. Box. EVER.

I have stuff I do that kind of thing to all the time... of course, I'm also alot like Doc from Disney's Snow White. I often switch words around like: "Someone's light the lit! Lit the light!" Really... all. the. time. Even in my thoughts. Even when I type.

As to the cat box... my mom is a nurse and they get these boxes in that are about 1'w X 1.5'h 1.5'L. They have an arched opening. Take that out, flip the box and it's a door. For Christmas last year, my mom and my niece covered one with wrapping paper and a big bow for my sister's cat for Christmas. Seamus loves in. :)

The Best Box Ever in my house is a box that once held salads and pasta from the pizza place down the road. Beaker has claimed it for his very own. It doesn't matter if the box is in the sunbeam, by the trash cans, or down in the basement with the spiders, that box is HIS and he isn't giving it up. I tried to remove it once in a vain effort at tidying up the house. Beaker chased me and took a swipe at me. That is HIS box. And he's a sufficiently cranky old man that I'm willing to humor him.

And no, the Garfield link hasn't escaped me, particularly since Beaker is an old, fat, orange cat.

Our boy cat looooves his shoebox. It has an attached lid and so you can just see him poking out from it. He's been using it for several months, it's ripped open on the side and he still uses it. Currently we have it stationed between the two computers that me and the fiance sit at most evenings, so he can hang out with us. (When it was on the other side of the room he also used it, but seems happier having his box *and* his people.)

When I was younger and my room was always a mess at my Dad's house, he had a shoe box that he loved, but it would get squished beneath all of my junk. Whenever I was cleaning, I'd pull it out, swish it a couple of times to pop it back into shape, and throw it on the floor. He'd come flying into the room and into the box just as it hit the ground.

Hurty boobs are not happy boobs. Well, for most people's definition of happy; I won't ask you to incriminate yourself should you be not one of most people.
