many things make a post

I got my calendar today! And to my delight, the quality is very nice! I think it’s worth buying! :) I ordered a standard-size and kind of wish I’d gotten the one they refer to as “huge”, just to see what it looks like. But I’m very pleased with the product, so if you’d like a CE Murphy Ireland 2010 calendar, this is the place to get it.

I also thought of a theme/idea thing of sorts for a (series of) photography book(s). I’ll have to discuss it with my agent. In, you know. My COPIOUS FREE TIME.

Not only is Ardian doing 3 issues of Batman, but he’s also doing JLA #34, in stores in June. *falls over and kicks feet with delight*

If both my Brenda Novak auction items (a gift basket and a Tuckerization (your name as a character)) go over $100 by the end of the auction on Sunday, I will do a special give-away here on the blog. It is possible I will give away my last remaining ARC of A FANTASY MEDLEY, which is sold out and therefore difficult to get ahold of.

I swam this morning. My shoulder looked askance at me. I have made a massage appointment.

Took a look at TRUTHSEEKER and expect to ditch & fresh-write 20K and probably revise another 10K if I do what my editor asks. I don’t mind, but it’ll be a *completely* different book (except it won’t be. It’ll be like HEART OF STONE: everything will change except the story.). I don’t know if it’ll be better or just different. Probably better, in a different way. I should email my editor, where I can be less circumspect as I babble on trying to sort things out. :)

Finally turned in the revisions on the “Cairn Dancer” short story. Path is therefore cleared for 30K worth of revisions. Let’s see. It’s Tuesday? And I’m taking next Monday off, so…arright, self-imposed deadline of June 12 for TRUTHSEEKER revisions. And then going into Dublin on the 13th to see John & Leah will be a lovely reward for finishing it.

I feel like a rolling stone gathering moss, man.

On my phone are pictures of "Queen's Bastard" and "Pretender's Crown" from one of the book vendors at Balticon.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the pictures off of my phone.

Both appeared to be selling, as the piles went down over the weekend.

If you can do picture texts, you should also be able to email 'em directly to Catie. Just put her email address in where the phone number should be.

email address in question being cemurphyauthor@gmail.com :)

I can barely use the cell for making phone calls and taking pictures (at least half are taken up-side-down). So actually getting the phone to e-mail someone....

I will send them out tonight. The card reader I have isn't working her on the employer's computer, but should work fine on either of my two laptops at home.

I guess that makes me a semi-geek.

Hmm, you'll be in Dublin on the 13th... my birthday... don't suppose I can convince you guys to come to Ryan's for a few pints before you flee back home to the country, can I? :)
kitmizkit on May 26th, 2009 03:16 pm (UTC)
Well, I'll be in Dublin. I don't know if Ted will be or not. But if the pints are early enough, we could probably be convinced! :)

Hail fellow Gemini!

I have a pic of the CE Murphy shelf in N Charleston Barnes & Noble coming your way but...

Why is your tongue blue?

I'd been eating blueberries!

<3's your icon :)

A friend made it because I couldn't find the exact shot of Eddie Izzard going, "Quoi?" from Dress to Kill. :)

The B&N in North Charleston had your books all over, in New Releases, in SciFi/Fantasy, in Recommends... :)

My housemate did a book of his photographs and gave it as gifts a couple of years ago. SO COOL. He did his through blurb.com, they came out awesome.

Yay! Tell her you need work on your subscapularis. A lot of it. :P
kitmizkit on May 26th, 2009 05:02 pm (UTC)
He's Chinese. Do you know how to say subscapularis in Chinese? :)
Geek of Weird Shitgows on May 28th, 2009 10:33 pm (UTC)
"Subscapuraris" came to mind, but that's horribly insulting and rather racist, I suppose.

Just tell him it's one of the four rotator cuff muscles and that he needs to go in through the armpit. And no, I don't know how to say "rotator cuff" or "armpit" in Chinese. Or Gaelic, for that matter. :P

If you make the June 12th deadline then you might get another gold sticker! :)

Also, the calendar is gorgeous!! I ordered one. I would put in my name for Tuckerization but, sadly, the bidding was already out of my league. :)

FYI - I LOVE reading your updates here on LJ. You always make me smile. I am so glad I picked up Urban Shaman on a whim at my bookstore 2+ years ago or so now. And I am very glad I get to follow your blog on LJ. :)

Keep it up!!

Aww, thank you! For everything! :) Gosh, you're my first calendar customer! Yay! :)

Bwahahhahaaa, that is every swimmer I have ever know. (I am actually sorry that your sholder hurts, it's, just, um, you have such a way with words that I couldn't resist laughing...)

As for the calendar, how long will it be up for sale?
kitmizkit on May 27th, 2009 07:22 am (UTC)
*laughs* Well, thank goodness I have a way with words, it's how I make my living! :)

The calendar will very likely be on sale through, say, January. Possibly March. :)
