moderate curiosity
I'm kind of vaguely trying to figure out how I might go about setting up kitsnaps as a retail site (since DeviantArt is fine and all but frankly if I'd make far more money if I sold stuff myself, even if I sold hardly anything!), so I have a question. Purely theoretical, no purchase necessary. :)

If I were going to buy a photograph online, I would prefer:

a digital download
an actual print sent to me
something else detailed in comments

I'd want both, truthfully :)

Indeed. Why choose? Make both options available. Plus autographed prints. It costs little to add options like that once you've taken the time and expense to set up your online store.

...I have to admit I assume any desktop background image desires involve a right-click and a 'set as background' rather than a willingness to provide financial recompense to the person whose image I'm using. :)

8x12" prints would be $15 for digital downloads, $45 for physical copies, +S&H.

i chose digital print since being in Canada having anything shipped to me, paper or package is usually a pain in the ass hehe.

Would you like an introduction to an associate of mine who actually makes his living as a photographer these days? He could probably offer some good advice.
