*laughs a lot*

Wolverine took in $87 million this weekend, partly in thanks to “an unexpectedly large female audience — nearly 50 percent of the total”.

All I can say is: Dude. Hugh Jackman. Liev Schreiber. Taylor Kitsch. Ryan Reynolds. If you build it, we will, ah, come. o.o

LOL! This needs its own icon...
egret17egret17 on May 4th, 2009 07:45 pm (UTC)
And would HJ's naked bottom be featured on said icon? ;)
chant_1chant_1 on May 4th, 2009 07:48 pm (UTC)
*whispers in awe* Can you do that??
egret17: ChaosPsychoegret17 on May 4th, 2009 07:58 pm (UTC)
Not made many icons before, but that one might be sufficiently inspiring....

"unexpected' to whom?

The pretty was... very pretty. Snarly, but pretty. Finestkind.

It was delicious - my god, Jackman nekked. PLUS I have a softspot for Mr. Ryan Reynolds and ye gods, Taylor Kitsch, isn't he just utterly adorable? Grown up quite a bit since his appearance in The Covenant. Just saw that he was born in 1981...omg, I am a old lady pervert @ 36.

All my female coworkers, even the non-geek ones, are talking about the movie this morning (usually with comment that Hugh Jackman is nekkid). The guys, not so much. ;)

My wife called it the star of perfection or something of the sort and I offered to bring her the drool bucket. She counted Dominic Monaghan in wth the other ones so there was 5. That and she rarely refered to Ryan Reynolds by his real name... because she didn't care who was going to paly the role, just that Wade showed up.

kitmizkit on May 4th, 2009 03:36 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I just couldn't remember how to spell Monaghan's name. And I'm pretty indifferent to Reynolds myself, but I figured I'd include him. :)

And I'm good with that!

You need to stop using that icon. I want to lick my monitor every time and that's just not sanitary!

Also, yeah. Unexpected? I think not.
Beshterbeshter on May 4th, 2009 05:29 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I wouldn't know WHY there was an unexpectedly high female audience.....

Well, except for mostly nekkid Hugh Jackman. That might be a good reason why, shot in the dark.

It was why I watched the Oscards and was DENIED! *mutters darkly to herself*

The fellow in your icon certainly piqued my interest :)

And whoever wrote that needs to be sat down with, say, a female or two and have it explained to them just how ridiculous that statement is.

Muahaha! Looks like I'll need to ditch Cat and sneak off to the movies some day soon...

I'd replace come with squee, flail, or goosh, respectively, but -- uh. Yeah. <<;

Me, the husband and the sons saw it en masse yesterday and were appropriately entertained, according to age, orientation etc. Plus, man-candy for me, guns'n'splosions for them.

Though it suffered from the problems of all prequels for me - knowing what can/cannot happen plotwise. Ho hum.
