to the irish peoples I know:

Is anybody going to the Neil Gaiman signing thing at Eason’s in Dublin on the 30th of October? I’d kind of like to go, but it’d be more fun with people. Maybe there could be a dinner before or afterward or something? She said hopefully? :)

(Oh, also, totally unrelated, but no matter how many times I see this photo of the earth at night, I think it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.)

...staring at the dots out in the middle of nowhere and wondering, who the hell is out there?

Although I'm probably not going to be in the actual queue for the signing at Eason's, I am hoping to be around and about that day, as the tentative plan is to do an interview with Neil for the FPI blog. This has the added bonus of my being sent a comp copy of The Graveyard Book, whose arrival I expect imminently.

Don't hate me 'cuz I is cool...

No, basically, I hate you. :)

And there was me going to tell him how lovely you are...
kitmizkit on October 5th, 2008 12:33 pm (UTC)
I love you! I love you! I'll bring you brownies! I'll make you fudge! :)
Laura Anne Gilmansuricattus on October 5th, 2008 12:36 pm (UTC)
fudge? *looks hopeful, remembers she is on the wrong side of the Large Wet, is sad*
kitmizkit on October 5th, 2008 12:39 pm (UTC)
Well, I could send you some when it comes to the fudge-making time of the year. arcaedia seems to feel that even after a few days in a shipping box my fudge is pretty worthy of eating. :) (Actually, that woman has an inhuman resistance to fudge. She managed to make one batch I sent her last like four months. I can't make it last four *minutes*.)
Laura Anne Gilmansuricattus on October 5th, 2008 12:48 pm (UTC)
four months? Aw now, that's just wrong. And insultin' to the fudge!
kitmizkit on October 5th, 2008 12:50 pm (UTC)
I think she'd claim she was *savouring* it. But man. Tain't natural!
irishkateirishkate on October 6th, 2008 04:50 pm (UTC)
me too!

Talk about it at octocon?

Yah!

I for one definitely aim to be there. I have a copy of the Stardust DVD that's criminally lacking a Neil-type scrawl on it. :)

And yup, that's one damn cool photo.
kitmizkit on October 5th, 2008 06:13 pm (UTC)
Oh, cool. So at least one person I know will be there! Good to know! Yay!
Tayefethtayefeth on October 5th, 2008 03:39 pm (UTC)
That's a great picture, but I'd like it more if I didn't live in one of the brightest spots on it. Not that I don't like where I live, but I'd like to see the stars more often...

You can also come down to London-town again for his signing here! I get to read The Graveyard Book tomorrow - it arrived a week ago. Snh snh snh - evil lafter.

*laughs* Not unless the money fairy visits suddenly and profitably, I can't. :)

I love your icon. :)
