a very important question
I have a terribly important question:

When I get around to cutting my hair again (ie, when I have money), should I

continue in the vein it's currently cut in, thereby allowing me to at least in theory do a Tenth Doctor costume for Halloween, or
19(55.9%)
proceed toward growing it out into a bob?
15(44.1%)

Secondarily, and probably importantly, is there any chance I'm actually going to have a Halloween party to go to, thereby having a *reason* to do a costume?

No.
8(100.0%)

(Also, why don't I have a CHD icon?)

Yeah, actually, it probably is. :)

was just going to say that given any excuse I'm sure we could throw a party worthy of a costume..

I had to vote for the Doctor Who costume option. Although, if you did head in a bob-like direction you could always make a stab at a Second Doctor costume.

Well, the only Doctor(s) I have any emotional attachment to are Nine and Ten, so I'd probably only do one of them, not the earlier ones. And while I've shaved my head before and *loved* it, I no longer live in San Francisco and don't think the look would go over quite so well in Longford, Ireland... :)

It all depends on whether you have the right kind of coat and suit to go underneath. If you have those things, I might keep the hair.

Plus, it's not like you can't get a cute bob *after* Halloween or anything. Hair does grow back. :)

Well, I was thinking of making the coat and suit, see. The flaw in this plan is that I'd have to send someone else shopping for the fabric, because there are no fabric stores worth mentioning in Ireland, but this isn't an insurmountable obstacle.

And it is true, hair does grow back. Which is what I keep pointing out to myself when debating this particular thing, in fact. :) The other important question is whether or not I can find the right kind of styling mud to make my hair *do* that, mind you... :)

Who is that in your icon? She's hot.

Oh, that is an obstacle, I suppose. Although, have you tried looking at men's suits stores? That might be a bit expensive, though. Probably best to sew it yourself.

There really aren't any good fabric stores in the whole of Ireland? *blinks*. Remind me never to need to do lots of sewing there. ;)

Yeah. I'm still wondering how they get David Tennant's hair to do it on the show, what with all his running around. And they do it without his head looking shellacked or anything, which is a bonus. Maybe it does that naturally?

Oh, that's me.. Just kidding. That's actually the fabulous Monica Belucci, who might just be the most delicious thing to come out of Italy since pizza.

Yes, why don't you have a CHD icon? Inquiring minds want to know!

I donno. I'll get on that one of these days. :)

i totally object to only having one option on the party :::grins:::
kitmizkit on August 4th, 2008 07:24 am (UTC)
It is, though, a pretty accurate reflection of the likely options. :)

heh.... we'll have to have you CRASH a party. mmmm... or have a monsters or heroes of television party!

I'll be having a party *next* year at the end of October, to mark my 50th Birthday, if that's any use...?
kit: adorkablemizkit on August 4th, 2008 07:24 am (UTC)
The chances of me retaining interest in any one haircut for over eighteen months are, sadly, terribly slim. :)
Pádraig Ó Méalóidslovobooks on August 4th, 2008 07:37 am (UTC)
Well, I hope you'll come along anyway, with any haircut you deem to be appropriate at the time...
kitmizkit on August 4th, 2008 07:53 am (UTC)
Of course I will!
Pádraig Ó Méalóidslovobooks on August 4th, 2008 08:09 am (UTC)
Yay! It'll be a glittering, star-studded occasion.

Hopefully...

While it well known i like long hair on women, I think when last i saw you it was moderately short...and still looked good on you.
O'Mike aka onyxhawkeonyxhawke on August 4th, 2008 09:18 pm (UTC)
oh yeah.

Sartorias aka Sherwood Smith is hosting a Bittercon this weekend.
