photography & stuff

I nicked this meme from Myles weeks ago, but I didn’t have any good fonts installed on this computer yet so I hadn’t actually posted my results.

1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first article title on the page is the name of your band.

2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

You then take the pic and add text to it (I cropped mine, and used five words instead of four because it scanned better), then post your pic. (I also failed to note who took the picture, which was dumb of me. Oh well.) The results:

I donno, I think I like it!

If you haven’t, and you’re inclined, I’ve got a poll running to see which photoset blogland thinks I should submit to an upcoming art show. (Blogland has a *definite* opinion about it, too…)

The rather astonishingly positive response to the photos have made me think that perhaps I actually ought to *do* something about getting some of these set up to sell. I was thinking about making 5×7″ prints of the graveyard photos and selling them as an unframed set, 6 photos for $50, including S&H. Whatcha think?

Text didn't show very well in my attempt... the title would be 'in the vast drama', and the band name is serbian and is supposed to have a squiggle over the c that I can't reproduce :D

Nice cover!

I think the meme as I posted (and as originally posted wherever that is out in the ether) is missing a crucial fourth part. Really everyone should have to describe the music or band resulting.

So, what are Knight's Bridge like?

Made it at work in Paint, but not too shabby.

I think selling the photos would be fantastic. I have one of your pictures from the graveyard set, and love the rest just as much!

Step 2 produces really interesting titles, generally speaking. That's fascinating.
