it’s monday?

It’s Monday, and I am deeply confused by that. Partly ’cause Ted took yesterday off, partly ’cause the US is on holiday today, and partly ’cause it’s hard to tell what day of the week it is anyway. I need to go write, but I’m all feeling like, hey, I’m having a weekend! Yay me! No work for me! But, well, we all know that won’t do, will it.

Yesterday was an absolutely lovely day (except for the hour spent stomping around Cork trying to find coconut). The red beans and rice turned out *insanely* well, and prompted us to decide we need to do a Cajun Cookout this summer. (Maybe for the Solstice, eh? You all are invited.) It was really nice to see Mom and Dad, and nice to hang out with Ted so much, and yeah, generally, really nice. (I’m a professional writer. Don’t try this at home.)

Also, I’m amused at the football squee on my flist. :)

Going to go…*eyes thinks list*…work now, I guess. SIIIIIIIIIIGH.

thinks to do today, specifically:
- 1000 words
- chance #6 beatsheet
- gym

ytd wordcount: 23,700
miles to Minas Tirith: 48.7

Glad Ted's birthday was a fun day. And as for the Cajun cookout, I am so there. I used to have a good recipe for blackened duck. Perhaps I'll dig it out again. You have got my tastebuds a-thinking.
