I am too far inside writer-head to read, apparently. I’ve picked up several books now, sort of looked at the first several paragraphs, and gone “gah, I don’ wanna”. This has absolutely no reflection on the books, and is entirely indicative of my state of mind. It also probably explains (to me, anyway) why I’ve been spending so much time dinking around with photographs and kitsnaps rather than catching up on my reading. I hope someday I’ll be interested in reading again. o.O

It has been a glorious weekend thus far, with lots of sunshine and actual heat radiating from the sky, which is pretty much the first time since April 2007 that that’s happened. (Unfortunately, I’m not kidding. I don’t clearly remember the last time I left the house without a coat because it wasn’t either raining or too cool for initial walking around to be comfortable without one.) The only down side to the weekend (aside from my inability to read) is I haven’t been able to find pork ribs for dinner tomorrow. They’re not a particularly Irish thing to eat, but I want bbq ribs for my birthday, dammit.

Less than 12 hours left on the Tuckerization and gift basket auctions. They’re $75 shy of earning my faithful blog readers a new Walker Papers or Old Races short story. Will there be a last-minute surge in bidding to push them over the edge? Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion to the Brenda Novak Diabetes Research auction!
