I'll be durned. I wrote today. Not very much, and it took about two hours of solitaire to get started (I really should take that off the computer), but they're the first words of the year. :)

'course, I hate this part of the ytd wordcount, the stuff before 10K. It looks so pathetic and lonely. Poor lil' numbers. *snif*

ytd wordcount: 1100
miles to Dunharrow: 37

Hi - friended you a while ago but haven't really commented before.

Do you tend to keep what you write, editing as you go along, or is it always vastly different to what you end up with?

Hello! Welcome! Nice to meet you! What brings you here? :)

The only book I've ever written that in its too-be-published form is vastly different from the original is HEART OF STONE, which got rewritten massively three times and which is now completely different except for the story, which is still the same. :) There was one significant change made in URBAN SHAMAN that really changed the book and the world it was set in, but interestingly, I don't ultimately consider that to make it vastly different from its original form. It was an important difference, but not one that makes the book unrecognizeable.

I do some editing as I go along, then print the whole thing out and do revisions. There's a whole lil' article about my process here, if you want to read it. :)

I think it was one of those procrastination, look at a friend of a friend of a friend things, and I liked your writing.
